Prosperous Stewardship
Biblical Stewardship
Biblical Stewardship is a Christian’s response to God’s grace. Enabled by His grace, we recognize God as both Creator and Owner of everything in heaven and on earth (Psalm 24:1; Psalm 50:10; Haggai 2:8). We will seek to use all He entrusts us with to glorify Him, to serve Him, and be a blessing to others. As God’s stewards we recognize we are totally dependent upon Him for every blessing (Philippians 4:19; Matthew 6:25-34). He provides everything we need for life—wisdom, strength, time, talents, possessions, even the breath of life (Deuteronomy 8:18; . Stewardship includes our finances (Malachi 3:8-10), but it is about much more than just tithes and offerings (Matthew 23:23; Proverbs 3:9,10). What God wants most from us is our hearts. In Proverbs 23:26 He says “My son, give me your heart, And let your eyes observe my ways.” (NKJ). When we give Him our heart, we are also giving Him every thing we have and are. Faithful stewardship is simply a reflection that we have given Him our hearts (2 Corinthians 9:7-8).
